Dr. Rovina Kobun received her MSc and Ph.D. in Biosensors from the University of Malaysia Sabah (UMS). She subsequently joined the Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition at UMS as a researcher and academician. She is a member of the Biosensor Research organization and the Malaysian Institute of Food Technology (MIFT). Dr. Rovina’s primary research interests include nanotechnology, residue detection in food and agriculture, and intelligent packaging. Her research interests include biosensors, optical sensors, and food packaging made from waste materials. She has published 25 scientific articles in Scopus (h-index 13) and reviewed manuscripts for prestigious journals during her scientific career.
